My father had a room in the basement that had a red light bulb above the door. When it was on, no one was allowed to go in. It was his "darkroom." When I was about eleven years old, my dad decided I was old enough to learn the mysteries of this auspicious secret room. That's when I fell in love with photography. Although I spent years as a photographer, I was constantly working on my design skills. I made the transition from full-time photographer to graphic designer a little over a decade ago. I still shoot regularly, but mostly to enhance my design work and for stock. My stock images can be downloaded at iStock or Fotolia.
